COVID 19: HOAX? THREAT? INSIGNIFICANT?
We have all been in lock down around the world for at least a Month. Some of us longer, and for those countries not on lock down there is still a sense of restrictions in one way or another.
However it all feels completely surreal does it not? We, or at least I, feel detached from this thing.
Apparently the average American knows 600 people on average. The supposed death toll in the US is currently at around 68,797. Assuming no overlap it would mean that those people knew over 41 million people, or 14% of the population. According to the stats 1 in 300 have been infected by the virus. However, looking around what I see does not seem to convey this fact. I don’t know anyone personally to have had or has COVID 19, nor do I know anyone who knows someone who has or has had it, as far as I know.
There are kids playing around with one other, and for those who have not lost their jobs, or have any financial problems, they seem to behave as if this is just one big vacation.
If COVID 19 was such a big problem how can this be?
I have been reading the news, looking at scientific data, the global statistics, and occasionally even talk shows, and bits and pieces of the WH briefings. I can say one thing for certain. It seems like NOTHING IS FOR CERTAIN. The information out there is just all over the place, and to be honest with ya’ll things simply don’t seem to add up.
If medical experts. And I don’t mean your run of the mill GP. I mean if THE experts, the CDCs all over the world, the WHO, and pretty much every major player out there doesn’t seem to be able to tell us what the heck is going on, then why should we trust them?
The one frustrating thing is that not only is this information all over the place in terms of content, it is also all over the place “physically”. It seems extremely difficult to put everything on the table to form a clear picture.
What I would like to do is to accumulate all this information and place them in one place, so that a proper conversation can be started with us regular people on the matter.
